NATIONAL TRAIN DAY AT THE B&O RAILROAD MUSEUM
Saturday, May 11, 2013: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM I B&O TRAIN MUSEUM, BALTIMORE
Celebrate National Train Day at the birthplace of American railroading! Visitors enjoy programming highlighting the B&O Railroad's contributions to railroading and guided tours of its one-of-a-kind collection, including equipment rarely open for public like the #908 Office Car, the MARC #1 observation car, and the cab of the diesel locomotive PM #11 SW-1 switcher. Visitors who present an Amtrak ticket stub on this day will receive free admission.

“CIVIL WAR SONGS” CAMPFIRE SING-ALONG AT SENECA CREEK STATE PARK
Friday, May 24, 2013: 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM I SENECA CREEK STATE PARK, GAITHERSBURGCampfire programs at Seneca Creek State Park return for 2013! Join a Ranger by the campfire for a Memorial Day program for all ages, “Civil War Songs.” A special Memorial Day program in remembrance of our veterans-- suitable for all ages. Hear tales of life along Seneca Creek during the Civil War. Sing along with actual songs sung by slaves yearning for freedom, by soldiers in blue who fought for the Union, and by Marylanders who fought in gray for the South. This event will last approximately one hour and it is free. Bench seating available or feel free to bring your own portable chair.
